Amber & WIllie

Amber and Willie were married last weekend at A & M Gardens in Azle and I had the privilege to shoot their wedding. Amber is a woman who gets what she wants. I grew to respect her and her drive, determination and attention to details. She wanted a great wedding for her and Willie and they got one. Willie was laid back, smart and always had an answer to a question and was truly "in tune" to the importance of the day. The reception facility looked great, white table cloths with black runners, full buffet and a beautiful wedding cake for dessert. The service was given by both Willie and Amber's youth minister (they first met in church) and the minister went into great detail of the evolution of their relationship; first date, courtship, proposal and such.

But.... the weather! Rain was building and a line of storms had built ahead of a cold front and was marching our way all day. Would we make it? That was the question everyone had. About 10 minutes into the 45 minute service it started to sprinkle on and off. I started seeing umbrellas poping up in the crowd during the service. Then as the Minister said, "I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Willie Coleman" , the bottom fell out......to the second, on cue, it just dumped and the rain drenched everyone. The rain stopped after a few minutes though and we finished the formal photos outside and they had a great reception and Amber and Willie never stopped grinning.
