The Band

What can I say? After shooting a band, all I can say is "Guys in a band are cool, way cool!" What's special about a group of regular guys that have a band? Well... they are artistic, used to being on stage, creating their art and enjoying their artistic expression through music. What is also really neat is they like to have their photo taken.

I had the opportunity to shoot the Robert Donahue Band and it was a great experience. I really did not have to pose them. All I had to do was say "stand this way" and they were ready for me to shoot. Attitude, confidence and "this is me and what I do" was in every shot. Made things a piece of cake for me. At that point I only had to put my creative process in the "edgy" mode and tell the story. One being who they are as a group and as individuals. It was real fun for me. They used the image shot from below on their last CD. I hope to be traveling with them soon on their bus to shoot some "in concert" stuff for them. Check 'em out at robertdonahueband.com.
