Engagements
Lots of fun here! I work very hard to bring out your personalities, get you to hug and kiss a lot, tell jokes and tease you as a couple until I start to see some natural smiles and fun between the bride and groom, portraying you in images as you really are……a couple in love. Bring a change of clothes if you would like but I respectfully ask that you leave your parents or other family members behind for this session. This is our time to get to know each other and learn to work together and for me to portray you as really are. I will also do a few individual portraits of each of you.

You get all the originals with a copyright release, (2) 8×10′s and (2)5×7′s.

I love doing engagement sessions. They are always fun and everyone seems to have a great time. We need to shoot in the early morning or late evening for the best light and a a good location. I have several places to shoot at, it just depends on the look you want. Typically my style is fashion/lifestyle portrait.
Clothing choices do not have to be difficult, just not distracting. You would not want to wear a top with bright bold patterns, stripes or other features that says “look at that shirt “. Also, if we are working in a garden setting earth tones may not separate you from the background enough. Just dress in “your style” as if you where going out. Girls, you may also want to avoid strapless, off the shoulder tops. Make-up is very important. Since most brides do not have the budget to schedule a session with on site hair and make you may have to improvise. If you would like your make-up done I have several options for you. You can search youtube for lots of inspiration and instruction on the application of make-up for photography.
